Avon Descent
Competitors take on the Avon and Swan rivers in a variety of power and paddle craft in an exciting two-day time trial covering 133 gruelling kilometres.
The Avon Descent was first held in 1973 with just 49 competitors, no rules, no officials, no checkpoints and very few spectators. In the years since, over 25,000 people have competed in the Avon Descent, from novices and families, to World and Olympic Champions.
- The only event in the world where power craft race paddle craft.

- 133 gruelling kilometres will test the endurance of the fittest athlete.
Perth City Muster
The Perth City Muster has become the major country music event in Perth in the last few years. Held this year for the second time at the Claremont Showgrounds a crowd of over 8000 attended. Many in the audience had traveled from all over Western Australia to be there.
Last Year: The day was fine and warm, not hot like last years event, and the crowd warmed to the line up of stars. Lee Kernaghan, John Williamson, Sara Storer, Melinda Schneider and Catherine Britt.
